This survey was originally designed by David E. Whale of Central Michigan University for use in a study that included a large-scale survey of high school principals who rated themselves on their use of the NETS*A Standards. Dr. Whale has graciously agreed to allow the survey to be used here as an assessment tool for readers of Self-Assessment Activities for School Administrators: A Companion to Making Technology Standards Work for You.

Items marked Strongly Agree or Agree indicate areas where you are probably already implementing certain aspects of a standard. Areas marked Neither Agree nor Disagree, Disagree, or Strongly Disagree indicate areas where you may not be implementing a standard.
